Places we love to eat!
There are SO many good options in Charleston. Here are a few of our favorites and personal recommendations to try while you're in town.

How could we not put this on the list? This is a fun and well known brunch spot for classic breakfasts (and bloodies if that's your persuasion).
They also have great swag with the Miller namesake on it, but prepared to be stopped by strangers on the street telling you how much they love Millers All Day.

Queen Street Grocer has been open since 1922 and it's a great option for a casual breakfast or lunch. It has superb sandwiches, crêpes, and smoothies.
We found it when we were looking at venues and stopped by after scoping out the Thomas Bennett House. It reminds us of our favorite sandwich place in Greenwich Village (Court Street Grocer), and it's only about a 10 minute walk from the venue.

Don't let their casual appearance or website menu fool you. We are constantly blown away with Baguette Magic. They make their bread, pastries, and many other items from scratch in front of you while you wait.
We found Baguette Magic during our Charleston trip in 2017 when we started dating again and try to stop by when we're back in Charleston. Baguette Magic is a little out of the way on James Island, but it's worth a stop.

If you know of the Husk restaurant, you likely know reservations need to be made months in advance. But did you know the Husk Bar is no-reservation, first come first serve sister-spot. It has a cute, intimate bar area and spacious patio dining area if you want to experience some of Husk on a whim.
They don't post much on their website about Husk Bar but from what we know from visiting:

It's typically open Tues - Sunday after 5pm.
